At this very moment Heather is attending a memorial service for a dear friend of our family in Miami OK. It has been amazing to see the amount of concern and prayers on behalf of the Coyne family via social media such as facebook. Mr. C as we called him loved God, his family and food don't we all. In the last few months of his life after being diagosed with cancer of the esophagus he was able to still do two of the three. Eating stopped being a something to enjoy after the insertion of the feeding tube. We saw our dear Mr. C for the last time in December when a group of families came together. I remember enjoying friends who we consider to be family around the dinner table knowing that he wasn't going to be able to join us. It was a bitter sweet evening. Mr. C went to be with our Lord and Savior this past Sunday January 29th. We will miss him. One of his daughter in-laws said it best just hours before his journey home. "Our sweet "Mr. Coyne" is beginning his journey home to see Jesus. In true "Mr. Coyne" fashion...he is hallucinating about food while on morphine. I can't wait for him to have the "tastes of home" in heaven!"
Today Mr. C is not only present in heaven, he is seated at the banqueting table with the King of Kings and sharing in his inheritance!
We are taking a team down to Joplin today to help that town rebuild after the deadliest tornado to strike since 1947. Joplin has and will always have a special place in my heart as well as my family. Heather and I are exctied for the opportunity to give back to a place that gave us so much while we were students at Ozark Christian College. Our team will be working through the storm relief efforts of College Heights Christian Church. Please pray for us and look for updates this weekend.

A few weeks ago we challenged families to take up the towel of service and rally behind our Lord and King Jesus Christ. Since then we have had a few reports of what you are doing in our community. I would like to share just a few of those with you.
Our home cooked and delivered a meal to a home where the "cook" wasn't feeling well.
This list of service is not specific to one person or family.
Visited someone in the hospital, Helped with the Linus Project, Shared a vehicle with others, helped someone with a remodel
One person has chosen to serve by sitting with someone who is unable to be left alone, so their spouse could attend a Bible Study!
Our family chose to send a few of the wash cloths to one of our soldiers in Iraq. "May the cloths wash his skin, cleanse his spirit and remind him of God's never-ending love." What a wonderful thought!
I know there are others, who are rallying around the towel of service and sharing the Love of Christ in practical ways, making Jesus famous! We serve because he first served us!
